PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

Program Development activities are an important aspect of GMU’s CAPH services. Not only do the resources assist with others’ initiatives, but professionals at GMU’s CAPH also prepare approaches for direct implementation. This applied approach brings to action the philosophies espoused by GMU’s CAPH. Noteworthy within this segment are resources found with the Healthy Expectation project, focused on first year students. In a parallel manner are the variety of alcohol abuse prevention strategies found with the Promising Practices: Campus Alcohol Strategies project. A wide range of traffic safety resources, from campaign initiatives to research projects, is also found.

Alcohol Summit

Building upon the role held by CAPH as the evaluator for this nationwide initiative implemented by the North American Interfraternity Conference, insights were gathered to encourage other campuses implement similar initiatives to reduce alcohol abuse among fraternity and sorority members.

Virginia Voices and Visions
